The 2013 VGPA Scholarship Recipient is from the Eastern Shore

Jeffrey "Logan" Holland, a senior at Broadwater Academy in Exmore, VA is the recipient of the Virginia Grain Producers Association Scholarship for 2013.

This $1,000 annual scholarship is funded through generous donations from members of the Virginia Grain Producers Association, and is awarded to affiliated members of our organization based on their academic excellence, contributions to their school and community, and promise of continued growth.

Logan has been accepted to Virginia Tech, and plans to study Agronomy & Finance. He currently holds an excellent GPA, is enrolled in advanced courses and is ranked 1st of 20 students in his graduating class. He aspires to double major in Agronomy & Finance and work as a full-time farmer with W.T. Holland & Sons. His activities and honors include: SCA, junior & senior class president, and 4 years of varsity football and baseball. He has volunteered with the cleanup following hurricane Sandy, the Nature Conservancy's Chesapeake Bay work, and several other local groups. His work experience includes serving as an equipment operator for W.T. Holland & Sons and a hatchery worked with Cherrystone Aquafarms.
