Spring is Planting Time in South Carolina

South Carolina's Ag Commissioner Hugh Weathers says that the state is gearing up for spring planting, both row crops and horticultural crops.  Three flower shows at the state farmers' markets are scheduled, Pee Dee Spring Plant & Flower Festival will be April 12 through the 15th at the Pee Dee State Farmers' Market in Florence, the Midlands Plant & Flower festival will be April 19 through the 22nd at the SC State Farmers Market in West Columbia, and the Piedmont Plant & Flower Festival is scheduled for May 3 through 6th in Greenville. 

These three events are the largest spring events at the markets.
