Southern Association of Departments of Agriculture Meeting Coming up in Charleston

SC Ag Commissioner Hugh Weathers is president of the Southern Association of Departments of Agriculture, one of four regional groups that makes up the National Association of Departments of Agriculture.  It's tradition that the president is the host of the summer meeting, which is scheduled to get underway next week in Charleston.

Commissioner Weathers says there are several topics on the agenda for the three-day meeting, but also some fun mixed in as well.  In addition to registration fees to the participants, Weathers says that other funds to defray the costs of the meeting have been raised privately, and not a single dollar of tax payer money will be used. is dedicated to serving the agricultural industry in the Carolinas and Virginia with the latest ag news, exclusive regional weather station readings, and key crop market information.
