South Carolina Plant & Flower Festivals Coming Soon
Spring has sprung and the state farmers market in South Carolina gets started with their plant and flower festivals.
“It’s the kick-off of the spring season. This is the month for the spring flower festivals.
The first is the Pee Dee Plant and Flower festival in just over a week in Florence. There will be over 90 vendors, it’s a great way to kick off the three. Then the following weekend, the 18-21 the festival is here at the New State Farmers Market in Columbia. That one, on the 19th, we will have cooking demonstrations at the Corbett Building. We will wind up in Greenville the first weekend in May.
It’s a great place to shop for some unusual plants and that is the neat thing about these markets. There are so many different colors and varieties. Some of the specialty food groups will be there as well along with the lawn furniture folks. It’s a good family atmosphere.”
