Sorghum Checkoff Accepting Applications for Leadership Program

The Sorghum Checkoff is launching its Leadership Sorghum Class I – which involves hands-on and classroom style learning where participants will learn how sorghum goes through the value chain, how checkoffs and interest organizations interact on behalf of the sorghum industry and what the future looks like for the crop. Participants also will be trained in professional development and enjoy networking opportunities. Sorghum Checkoff Chairman Bill Kubecka says strong leadership is key to the development and progress of any industry – and the Checkoff believes Leadership Sorghum will help recruit new leaders while educating and exposing them to all facets of the diverse industry.

Eligible applicants must be farmers engaged in U.S. sorghum production. For electronic forms and a class schedule – go to www dot Sorghum Checkoff dot com slash leadership (www.SorghumCheckoff.com/leadership). Applications are due July 20th – and class members and alternates will be notified no later than August 3rd.
