North Carolina Agriculture Benefits from Phytosanitary Certificates

North Carolina's Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler explains that the state's agriculture export sector continues to grow due to the demand for those products, and a critical component in age exports is the issuance of phyto-sanitary certificates.

These certificates ensure tha the particular agricultural product has met the importing country's entry requirements.  NCDA's Plant Industry Division works jointly with the USDA to issue these certificates and have seen steady increases in requests.
