NC’s General Assembly Passes Farm-Friendly Legislation
North Carolina's General Assembly just wrapped up a short session where most of the work focused on hammering out a budget. But, according to NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler, a couple of pieces of farm-friendly legislation did make it through.
One, which will have the most benefit to roadside produce stands concerns improvements to structures under 1000 square feet, and adhereance to building codes when the structure is not inside a city or town limit, and the other involves the movement of farm machinery using major highways.
