NCDA Offering Food Business Workshop in Matthews

North Carolina Department of Agriculture is offering a Food Business Workshop on Thursday, January 29th at the Mecklenburg County Library in Mathews, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Annette Dunlap, Agribusiness Developer for NCDA explains who would be interested in this free workshop:

“It is for existing food businesses that need to set some time aside to do their business planning for the coming year.”

Dunlap outlines some of the things attendees will come away with from this workshop:

“There are three objectives when working on a business plan. First, is to set measurable goals, whether that is to figure out how much more they want to sell, or how many more stores they would like their product in or how much more production. I also will be encouraging them to put together a full year promotion calendar to plan what events to participate in, like a Got to Be NC Festival or State Fair. Finally they need to think about their competition and see how they can best them with messaging on their site or in social media.”

Time to respond with intentions to attend this workshop is short, Dunlap has that information:

“They can call me or send an email (see information below) if interested in attending the workshop.”

Dunlap needs those responses by close of business today.  Agribusiness Developer for NCDA, Annette Dunlap
