NC Small Grain Growers Association Announce Assessment Extension

The North Carolina Small Grain Growers Association proudly announces that Small Grain Farmers have extended the assessment on the following Small Grain Crops: Wheat, Oats, Rye, Barley, Rape/Canola and Grain Sorghum. This assessment passed by a favorable vote of 96%. The period for this assessment is January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2019. The assessment is .005 of total money the farmer receives. Monies are collected at first market elevators, sent to Department of Agriculture for deposit into association bank account and the funds are managed by Board of Directors elected to represent 20 districts across the state. There are 4 agribusiness directors elected at large. The NCSGGA will continue to provide Education, Research, Promotion and Marketing for Small Grain Farmers in North Carolina.
