NC Gas Pumps to Be Labeled for Ethanol Content

North Carolina's Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler says that June 1st was the date mandated by the General Assembly that all gas pumps in the state be labeled with percentage of ethanol.  Up until now, only pumps with more than 10% had to be labeled as such. But, with E-15 probably coming into the general market before the end of the year, Troxler said it was time to label all gas pumps.

Troxler explains that this is simply a consumer awareness campaign, that there's been up to 10% ethanol in North Carolina gasoline for quite some time, but only blends above 10% were required to be labeled.
