John Block: Christmas and a New Year

John R. Block Reports from Washington December 26, 2017

“Christmas and a New Year”

Hello everybody out there in farm country. This radio commentary is brought to you by the National Corn Growers Association, CropLife America, and Renewable Fuels Association. They are all friends, supporters, and allies of healthy farm economy and prosperous rural America. Thank you.

And now for today’s commentary – I hope you had a Merry Christmas. With this holiday season and the New Year upon us old memories from the past come flooding in to my mind. It’s time to relax and think about the life we have lived and the life we want to live. I’m not going to talk about politics or government today. I’m going to play for you two songs that I recorded at Christmas time with Savannah, my daughter. She was 8 years old at that time – 16 years ago (2001).

(Two Songs)

I’m sure that those of you listening might have some special memories that you might want to recall. Let’s ring in the New Year with hope, optimism, and love. If you would like to review my radio shows going back more than 20 years, just go online to Have a great weekend.
