Farmers’ Markets have Opportunity to Advertise

North Carolina Department of Agriculture is offering cost/share grants to local farmers' markets to advertise.  The funds are being offered in conjunction with The Tobacco Trust Fund to create awareness of smaller farmers markets around the state.

NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler says that the goal is to get locally grown product into the hands of consumers.  For more information contact Kevin Hardison in the NCDA Marketing Division at 919 707-3123.  Applications will be accepted beginning March 1st, and funds will be awarded on a first come-first served basis.
