Commissioner Troxler Hopeful that Farm Bill May offer Solution to Clean Water Act

North Carolina's Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler is watching the farm bill debate closely, one amendment in particular that was introduced by Senator Kay Hagen.  The amendment introduced by Hagen would inhibit the EPA from enforcing pesticide use around so-called waterways of the United States, a very broad generalization that could include mud puddles in the road.

Many of the amendments introduced to the 2012 Farm Bill debate include language to rein in the over-reach of the EPA over the last three years.
