Cataracts cause vision to be cloudy or foggy, but this can be corrected with surgery. Because cataract surgery has been perfected in people, it is now being used by vets to treat animals living with this debilitating eye condition. Because animals and people get many of the same diseases, we can all benefit from scientific advancements that fight disease.
