The N.C. State Fair recognizes 11 Farm Families each year as its Farm Family of the Day presented by the Tractor Supply Company. Families are nominated or can apply by Sept. 6 to be entered for a chance to be highlighted at the State Fair.

• For the fourth year in a row, we are seeking applications and nominations for the N.C. State Fair Farm Family of the Day presented by the Tractor Supply Company.

• We started this program as a way to recognize the people behind the state’s $111.1 billion agriculture and agribusiness industry.

• We cannot celebrate our farmers enough for all the hard work they put into feeding us. And this year, especially, with all the challenges our farmers have faced, we want to celebrate their work.

• The deadline to apply or to be nominated by is Sept. 6, so I want to be sure people have a few weeks to get their information in. You can find more information online at www.ncstatefair.org.

• Families selected as the Farm Family of the Day honorees will receive an N.C. State Fair gift basket, including fair tickets to use on any day of their choice during the 2024 N.C. State Fair, ride passes and additional swag from both Tractor Supply Company and the N.C. State Fair.
