The N.C. State Fair is well known for its offering of creative deep-fried delicacies and wide range of global cuisines. Every year, fair vendors come up with new dishes, in hopes their foods will call to fairgoers’ taste buds. This year’s new dishes represent cuisines from around the world and reimagine some classic fair offerings, such as corndogs, tater tots, waffles, egg rolls, cookie dough and, of course, bacon. SFN’s Mike Davis tasted as many as he could in preparation for this year’s fair, and met some of the vendors along the way. |
