An estimated 4,000 pigs perished in a massive barn fire Wednesday morning in Buffalo County, Wisconsin, near the Minnesota border. Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze, which brought down the barn roof.
Icy road conditions made it difficult to get the proper fire-fighting equipment in place. One truck spun out into a ditch on the way to the scene, reports WEAU 13 News.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time as investigators continue to sift through the damage.
