In late December The House passed the third installment of a Supplemental Disaster funding bill to address losses following last year’s hurricanes and wildfires. The $81 billion package also included an agriculture component to assist producers hit by the storms. In addition, it included language to address issues with the current farm bill safety net for both cotton and dairy. Reece Langley, Vice President of Washington Operations for the National Cotton Council, tells SFN about those provisions and when we can expect to see a vote on the overall package.
