The 2014 North Carolina Cotton Field Day took place at the East Carolina Ag & Education Center. It was two events in one as discussions on the latest farm bill changes preceded the farm tours.
Experts presented the latest research on cotton including Variety by Herbicide System, Fungicide Options, Thrips Management and Extended Release Nitrogen Use.
The annual Pee Dee Farm Field Day at Clemson University’s Pee Dee Research and Education Center offered an inside view of the latest agricultural research and farm techniques.
Separate morning tours allowed visitors to observe the management of various crops, with their choice of a tour of cotton production, or soybeans and peanuts, or sorghum, forestry/wildlife, and bioenergy crops.
