South Carolina Producers to Plant More Soybeans

In late March, the USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service released their Planting Intentions Report, a report comprised of interviews of producers across the nation to determine what their plans are for the 2017 growing season.

In South Carolina, producers are planning to plant 89.6 million acres of soybeans, up 7% from last year, right in line with the national average.

Cotton production is anticipated to be up 21% nationwide, and South Carolina growers’ intentions are right in line with that.
