Last week the Southern Association of State Departments of Agriculture or SASDA gathered for its annual meeting in Biloxi, Mississippi. Commissioner Hugh Weathers took part in the annual meeting and joins us now with more on the issues the group discussed.

- The purpose of SASDA is to improve American agriculture through the development and promotion of sound public policy and agriculture-related businesses and programs and to communicate the vital economic importance of agriculture
- SASDA is comprised of the Commissioners, Secretaries, and Directors of Agriculture from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and the Virgin Islands.
