SC Commissioner Hugh Weathers: Fall Plant and Flower Festivals

One of the most beloved events hosted by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture will look a little different this year. Here to tell us more is SC Ag Commissioner Hugh Weathers.

  • The Fall Plant and Flower Festivals are usually our way of kicking off autumn and the harvest season in September.
  • Due to COVID-19, instead of having a high-volume event over one weekend, we will now have a whole month dedicated to the to the celebration of cooler weather, changing leaves and fall produce.
  • Our three state farmers markets will be hosting “Harvest Season at the Market” every weekend in October.
  • Vendors will feature fall flowers, pumpkins, Certified SC Grown seasonal produce as well as fall décor.
  • Admission and parking at the State Farmers Markets will be free for this event.
  • Please join us October 1st through November 1st at the Greenville, Pee Dee and Columbia state farmers market locations:
    • Greenville: 1354 Rutherford Road
    • Pee Dee: 2513 West Lucas Street
    • Columbia: 3483 Charleston Highway
  • You can check with each farmers market location for operating hours and vendor information as well as find more information on our website, agriculture.sc.gov. We hope to see you there!
