SC Ag Commissioner Hugh Weathers Sees First Agribiz & Farm Expo as a Success

“In general for our first Expo in a while of this size I was very pleased. We’ll wait for feedback from attendees and exhibitors to see how they feel and where we need to improve for next year.

We had over 100 vendors, most of them were SC based, and also some regional and national representation. We had a very full floor with exhibitors and attendees. Adjacent to that we had facilities where we held the breakfast and the seminars. It was an ideal facility. Our numbers were just short, we were hoping for 3000.

We will follow up this week with the advisory committee to hear their recommendations and how we can make it better because we really want to make it worthwhile for the farmers to take the time out to attend. We will look at having the Expo about this same time next year.”
