NC's Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler willopen the 2012 Mountain State Fair this Friday at the Western North Carolina Ag Center in Fletcher. Commissioner Troxler explains that the Mountian State Fair celebrates the traditions and heritage of mountain crafters and entertainers. There will be a clogging competition as well as a daily Mountian Music Festival and a lot of hand-made items.
There are a few additions to the fair this year; the Haywood Community College Timber Sports Team will demonstrate lumberjack skills on Friday through Sunday and the Professional Rodeo Coyboys Association will hold a rodeo on Monday September 10th through Thursday, September 13.
