NC Farmland Preservation Trust Fund Awards $3.3 million in Grants

The state Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund recently awarded almost $3.3 million to help North Carolina Communities protect farmland and promote agricultural enterprises.

Other grants this year helped support a farmland protection plan for Ashe County, assisted the NC Foundation for Soil & Water Conservation as well as assisted Cleveland County.


A native of the Texas Panhandle, Rhonda was born and raised on a cotton farm where she saw cotton farming evolve from ditch irrigation to center pivot irrigation and harvest trailers to modules. After graduating from Texas Tech University, she got her start in radio with KGNC News Talk 710 in Amarillo, Texas.
