NC Cash Grains Hold Steady

At the 3 weekly livestock auctions held Monday at Canton, Siler City and Turnersburg a total of 2,054 cattle and 74 goats were sold

Apples:  demand fairly good.  Market about steady.  All grades U.S. Extra Fancy.  Cartons 12 3-pound film bags Red Delicious 20.90-24.00; Golden Delicious 22.00-24.00.

Cotton:  The strict-low-middling one and one sixteenth South East average price is 68.52 cents per pound, the U.S. average is 65.94 cents per pound.

U.S. 2 yellow shelled corn was steady when compared to the previous day.  Prices ranged $3.75-$4.28 at feed mills and $3.50-$3.80 at elevators. U.S. 1 yellow soybeans were 5 to 7 cents lower; prices were $10.04 at the processors and $9.14-$9.60 at the elevators; new crop $9.24-$9.75.  U.S. 2 soft red winter wheat was mostly steady, prices were $3.70-$4.00 at the feed mills and $3.60-$3.84 at the elevators; new crop $4.21-$4.65.  Soybean meal, f.o.b. at processing plants, was $351.60 per ton for 48% protein.
