NC Ag Commissioner Sets Goals for New Term

North Carolina’s Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler was inaugurated for a fourth, four-year term last week, and has already set some goals for the next four years.

Even after 2016’s setback from Hurricane Matthew, Troxler believes that reaching the $100 million mark in agriculture in the Tar Heel State is obtainable, and is also looking at the new research lab to be completed in Raleigh in the next four years.

A native of the Texas Panhandle, Rhonda was born and raised on a cotton farm where she saw cotton farming evolve from ditch irrigation to center pivot irrigation and harvest trailers to modules. After graduating from Texas Tech University, she got her start in radio with KGNC News Talk 710 in Amarillo, Texas.
