First SC Agribiz & Farm Expo Underway

After more than a year of planning, the first ever Agribiz and Farm Expo gets underway tomorrow in Florence. Jody Martin, with Palmetto Consulting Solutions was part of the plan from the beginning:

“Its like that saying “if you build it they will come.” And we have built it. It has been a lot of team work coming together and we are very excited and welcome everyone come!”

Martin explains that there will be both a trade show at the Expo, in addition to lots of educational sessions to choose from:

“The three day event will be the trade show or the farm show itself with over 100 exhibitors of all the top ag companies that serve this region. That will be from 8-5 on Wed, 8-4 on Thursday and Friday. There will be over 20 different educational sessions with many different topics that will take place over the three days, most from 9:30 to 4pm.”

Regarding the trade show, Martin says all the major aspects of agriculture will be on display:

“We have major tractor companies, indoor and outdoor space, all of the ag dealer organizations, ag chemical seed dealers, different insurance, commodity board and associations, universities etc. There is a wide variety as well as precision ag, implements, tillage etc.”

The Expo is at the Florence Civic Center, and runs from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Wednesday and 8:00 am until 4:00 pm Thursday and Friday. There are special, ticketed events Wednesday night, Thursday morning, Thursday evening and Friday morning. For more information on times and events, visit our Ag coverage page.
