There’s an old saying in sports about superb players – you can’t stop them, you just want to control them. We could say the same today about health care costs – we can’t stop them from rising; instead, we just want to control the rise. Is there any hope in accomplishing this?
- some say there is, based on technology and nutrition
- we may have our vital signs taken and medicine administered daily by sensors – give heads-up on problems before crucial and avoid missed meds
- more remote medical procedures will be performed – avoiding costly trips to doctor and hospital
- nutrition will improve – more good things that taste good to keep us healthier
- all will save money
