Commissioner Troxler: Ag Offers Lots of Career Options

Agriculture and agribusinesses are big employers in North Carolina, employing about 16 percent of the state’s workforce or 686,000 people. As a wave of new college graduates begins to look for work, some may find their way into ag careers they may not have envisioned when they started college. Commissioner Steve Troxler says the range of jobs supporting the state’s top industry is varied and long, and agriculture is going to need bright minds to push the industry forward.
