NC Senate Committee Recognizes Ag's Needs

NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler is pleased that a special committee on disaster preparedness made eleven recommendations, seven of which included agriculture issues.  After last year's tornadoes, hurricane and drought, several issues came to light about what type of assistance agriculture needs after a disaster, and what type of assistance is availalble.  The Commissioner is hopeful that the recommendations will be taken up by the General Assembly's short session that convenes in May.
