North Carolina's Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler says that the North Carolina State Fair, which got underway last Thursday is on track to meet or exceed last year's one-million plus attendance record. Troxler goes on to say that the State Fair, like farming, is dependant on the weather...but the wish is for opposite weather than farming; cool, clear days are the optimum for State Fair attendance.
This year's winners of the junior livestock competitions took home a total of $67,100 and for the first time, the same animal was the grand champion junior market steer and NC Born and Bred Champion steer. |
