 NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler says that the Mountain State Fair will be getting underway this Friday, September 9 and run through the 18th, in Fletcher, NC.
At the Mountain State Fair, you will see all the usual, heritage crafts, and entertainment, livestock shows, horticultural exhibits, clogging competitions, bluegrass, gospel and mountain music competitions, wood carvers, quilters, soap makers and blacksmiths.
There have been many improvements to the fairgrounds, including the Davis Arena renovation, the event center now has a paved floor, air conditioning.

Friday & Saturday: 9am - 12 Midnight
Sunday: 9am - 11pm
Monday - Thursday: 3pm - 11pm |
