President Declares Major Disaster for North Carolina in the Wake of Tropical Storm Nicole
The head of FEMA, Craig Fugate announced that federal aid is available to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms, flooding, and straight-line winds associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole during the period of September 27 to October 1, 2010.
Federal funding is available to affected individuals in Beaufort, Bertie, Craven, Hertford, Onslow, and Tyrrell counties.
