Time to Get Contest Entries Ready for the 2010 NC State Fair | | | Program 1908 (download mp3)

NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler says that in recent years contest entries at the State Fair have picked up considerably, and this year should be no exception. Most categories offer not only ribbons, but a cash award. Last year's total cash premiums totaled $500,000. The Commissioner says to check out the 2010 Premium Book by going online to http://www.ncstatefair.org or to obtain a hard copy stop by the State Fair office in Raleigh.
