Posted on Tue, Sep 13, 2011

SC Ag Commissioner Hugh Weathers says that it's time for the Fall Plant and Flower Festivals at the three state farmers markets.  Fall is an optimum time to plant in the state and the plant and flower festivals are great places to get stocked up on everything you need to sharpen the lawn and garden for next spring, as well as add fall color to the landscape.

The season kicks off with the 10th Annual AutumnFest at the Greenville State Farmers Market Friday thorugh Sunday, September 23 through 25, then the Pee Dee festival in Florence will be Friday through Sunday, September 30 through October 2, and for the second year, the new State Farmers Market in West Columbia will host the Midlands Fall Plant and Flower Festival Friday through Sunday, October 7 throuh 9.
