Responsible Use of Technology

With so many doubts and fears right now, one thing is certain - agricutlure is til the backbone of our health and economic well being.  SC's Ag Commissioner, Hugh Weathers says that SC growers are doing a great job of staying well below residue levels set by the federal goverment for pesticide use, and that the majority of the food, fiber, feed and fuel needed for a growing global population will need to come from advancements in agricultural technology.  Food production must double on the same amount of land by 2050 in order to meet the basic needs of a rapidly growing global population.
