Animal Research Minute - Could scientists fight the number one cause of death in children with goats’ milk?

Well, according to the Washington Post, researchers report goats’ milk contains a natural anti-malarial vaccine. Right now, the anti-malarial proteins in goats’ milk have to be extracted and purified, and this process is expense. But researchers are hoping to create a drinkable vaccine in the coming years by using the anti-malarial properties of goats’ milk. This breakthrough could help eradicate malaria which kills hundreds of thousands of people annually around the world.
