Well, The Wall Street Journal reports that scientists are studying mice in order to develop an AIDS
vaccine. In a new study, scientists injected mice with a gene that protected them against HIV infection.
Remarkably, they found the treatment was able to prevent AIDS in 100 percent of the mice. This
promising result is an important breakthrough in AIDS research, although more research is needed
before it could be tested in people.
