Well, AFP reports biotech teams in Cuba have developed a new AIDS vaccine that was successfully tested with mice and is ready to be tested in people. This new vaccine was made from modified proteins that work by causing a cellular response against the HIV virus. While there is currently no successfully AIDS vaccine, scientists are hopeful research with laboratory animals and people will help them find a viable vaccine for AIDS, which affects nearly 34 million people worldwide.
