Weekly Drought Monitor: SC, NC, VA

South Carolina:

The Extreme drought area along the border of South Carolina and Georgia remained at 34.01%. The Severe drought also remained the same at 54.16%. The Moderately Dry central counties increased from 73.66% to 85.51%. The northeastern Abnormally Dry region remained at 100%.

North Carolina:

The NC central region had a very slight increase from .40% to  .44% listed in Severe drought conditions. The Moderately Dry central region increased from 14.46% to 20.77%. The Abnormally Dry area increased from 43.48% to 53.24%. The Drought Free status decreased from 56.52% to 46.76%.

Virginia:

Virginia's south central region increased slightly from 4.17% to 4.38% Moderately Dry. 95.62% of the state remains drought free.
