Animal Research Minute - Could a new study lead to a cancer breakthrough that helps both dogs and people?

Well, according to HealthDay News, scientists have discovered a gene pattern in dogs with bone cancer that can determine how aggressive that cancer will be. The canine and human forms of bone cancer are very similar and this newly-discovered gene pattern is also found in people. With further research, this study could lead to better, more tailored treatments for both people, particularly children, and dogs with bone cancer.
