Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack expressed disappointment with the U.S. House vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act. He said folks in rural America have suffered from a broken health care system for far too long. The health care law approved last year - he said - was bringing down the health care costs for the approximately 80-percent of rural Americans who are self-employed or work for a small business. He noted the legislation also addressed the shortage of providers in rural America.
