Posted on Tue, Feb 9, 2010

In his weekly visit, Commissioner Troxler discusses the new seminar series "Food Marketing In The Real World", which gets underway on March 9, 2010.  The workshops are being hosted by NCDA&CS and sponsored by Carteret Community College.  Each workshop will be held from 8:30 am until 4:15 pm at the college's Small Business Center in Morehead City.  Each covers a variety of topics including when to make the move from part-time to professional, marketing to food service and retail, and understanding the financial considerations of expanding a business.

Each workshop cost is $30, which covers materials and lunch.  The deadline for each workshop will be the week prior to the event, and space is limited for each workshop to 30 participants.  Those interested are encouraged to register early by going to ncagr.gov/markets/agbizmarketing.htm, or calling Annette Dunlap at (919) 733-7887.
