In studies with mice, researchers found it is possible for stem cells to produce new eggs that can be fertilized. It has long been thought that women are born with a limited supply of eggs, but this new finding changes that. This incredible breakthrough in reproductive research could one day help women who are infertile or even undergoing cancer treatment.
