Members of South Carolina’s leading industry sector, Agribusiness, are getting ready for the 2nd Annual SC AgriBiz & Farm Expo happening January 16-17, 2014. The Expo is returning to Florence Civic Center for the second year. Agribusiness has a $34 billion economic impact in South Carolina and accounts for nearly 200,000 jobs. The SC AgriBiz & Farm Expo brings all facets of the state’s agricultural community together to promote the industry and educational opportunities.
“South Carolina is home to both large and small-scale producers, and the great thing about this show is that there is something for everybody. Agribusiness is a dominant force in our state’s economy and this show is designed to make that impact even greater,” said Hugh Weathers, Commissioner of Agriculture.
The expo will offer a wide-range of tractors, equipment and farm products on display at the Trade Show. Daily admission is $5. There are also ticketed events, like The Taste of South Carolina reception and Commissioner’s Breakfast benefitting the South Carolina Commissioner’s School for Agriculture.
The Florence Civic Center is located at 3300 West Radio Drive, Florence, 29501. For more information on events and sponsors and organizers, please visit http://scagribizexpo.com /. Media interested in scheduling a preview story, can contact Jody Martin at the number listed above.
